No... unless it's *way* low, in which case there are I think three risks. 1) worse S/N ratio, 2) more amp power needed, and 3) if anything suddenly starts playing at really full volume, more chance of damaging your speakers ;-)
(The other night I had a power glitch or something, which caused a *huge* thumping sound.
