You will find a lot of info at head-fi. One thing you should look into is a headphone amp. The headphone outs in most amp/ preamps and the SB3 are not going to compare well with a dedicated headphone amp. The good news is that there are some great amps that won't break the bank.
I got a portable Corda Move from Jan Meier in Germany. I use it in the bedroom setup with the SB3 and my Ipod 160gig Classic when I travel. It is small and has a usb DAC included. It is a killer amp at 240.00 delivered from Germany. I also bought a Meier Corda Cantate, 540.00, for the Transporter rig. I have listened to both amps with my AKG701's and they are a great match for this phone. People at head fi say the Mier amps do well with Grados as well.
