Its interesting, the US car manufacturers insist that buyer demand mix
and match options, so they have literally thousands of combinations.
Honda, in contrast, has only about 20 models of their Accord, even
counting trim and color. Clearly Honda has cheaper manufacturing and
inventory.

My Mackie studio monitors have a lot of controls on the back, allowing
for level matching, high pass and low pass, frequency response tailoring
for placement against the wall, or out a few feet, or in free space. But
they are aimed at a different market.

I believe that one of the drivers for the HDMI connection in the home
theater world was that consumers are not smart enough to handle
right+left + video connections.
