This comment may lead some to believe that Jive could be out in
November (or shortly thereafter). I'm one of the Jive beta testers, and
as far as I can recall didn't sign any gagging agreements, so....

The Jive hardware is really rather nice. It has a few minor niggles,
mainly regarding the sensitivity of its wireless reception, but I
suspect these can probably be fixed fairly quickly.

On the software front, my feeling is that Jive still has a fair way to
go before it's ready for production. The people working on it are
performing minor miracles and things are progressing pretty fast. But I
work in the IT industry and I know that the last 10% of development
that's needed knock off all the rough edges and get things rock solid
for production release takes a huge final effort.

IMHO there's no way Jive could possibly be ready for release this year,
let alone November. I think it'll be well into 2008 before it's
available for general purchase.
