Patrick, thanks for replying. I certainly agree that the integration of transport is important; in fact I have always found my Opus 21 to sound much better standalone than fed by whatever transport. If the SB+ could replace my Opus 21 and come sonically within 90% of it (I know figures means nothing in this case but you got my point) it would be extremely interesting and I would immediatelly run on it. OTOH as I said earlier I haven't heard a source that could approach the Opus to my taste, so I would be happily surprided if it was the case. That is the reason why I was also thinking about using the SB+ as a transport to feed the Opus' DAC, although I agree that it is not the best solution. I certainly would be greatly interested in hearing the product somewhere not to far from London if there was a chance. I am not from the "rack first" school, but rather form the "rack is one of the issues" one >:) -- Vic ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Vic's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=13795 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=39815 _______________________________________________ audiophiles mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/audiophiles
