I have the Kef iQ5s and I use an Audiolab 8000S integrated amp which to
my ears, seems a very good partnership. I auditioned the Rotel RA-05
and RA-06 with the Kefs, but they seemed to exaggerate the high end and
produced a jarring sibilance on some tracks which I couldn't live with.

>From your perspective, the Audiolab has different modes of operation,
including a pre power AV mode which allows the pre amp and power amp to
operate separately. I think this would allow you to feed the pre-amp
out from your receiver to the power in on the Audiolab which I suspect
would allow you to use just the receiver volume control for AV use (but
please check, I haven't tried this).

As always, what's good for my ears may not be for yours, so do try to
audition the amp with the Kefs if possible. A good dealer should let
you take the Audiolab home for a trial. Mine did.
