I've been working on tagging problems since several months now, and the conclusion I soon arrive was: keep original, most detailed as possible tags in "proprietary tags" and generate standards tags at will. If I were you, I would use tags like ITRAX-COMPOSER ITRAX-CATALOG-NUMBER ITRAX-XXXX (with as much details as itrax catalog knows, ie the more detailed possible) And I would put an option in account preferences on "Generate standards tags" with several of more "templates" ready to use and for power user a personal tagging scheme. Files downloaded being tagged with ITRAX-XXX tags and standards tags as asked by the consumer.
