I just received my new Transporter yesterday (woohoo!) and everything is working fine but I have a question. I was hoping to eliminate the active preamp from my system so that my system would now consist of basically the Transporter, my amp, and my speakers. For most music this seems to be fine. However, for some CDs that may have been mastered low, I find that the Transporter doesn't have enough gain (does it even have gain or just attenuation?).
My understanding is that it comes from the factory with the internal jumpers set to 0 so changing these to compensate doesn't sound like an option. Are my only options to a) put my preamp back into my system to achieve suitable gain, or b) live with this for the few CDs that it affects?
