I upgraded to Squeezecenter and Transporter Firmware 40 at the weekend,
and what a great advance this is !.
I have had problems getting initial wordclock lock between the
Transporter and my Dcs Purcell/Delius ever since I bought it. With
Firmware 40, it locks immediately with no fuss - great !.

I upgraded to SC and 40 to try StudioMaster 88.4/24 recordings from
Linn, and they work and sound great, But they could sound better...
It seems that the Transporter and the Dcs equipment have different
wordclock rate expectations for these higher bit-rates.
- The Transporter requires a Word Clock at the bit rate (88.2 or 96K)
- Dcs always sends a base word clock of 44.1 or 48K independent of
actual rate (This may be an artifact of the Dcs upsampling
architecture).

So I can't word-clock lock my equipment at these rates (actualy it does
lock - but plays the files at half speed !).

Any chance of allowing 1/2 rate wordclocks ? - I understand this is a
hardware problem and may be unachievable in your implementation.

If not could we have a method of switching wordclock source (Internal
vs external) directly from the Transporter front panel ?.
It's a pain to have to bring up a web browser to switch clock source
every time I change between high rate and low rate music files.
