I stumbled upon this thread - http://forums.dvdfile.com/showthread.php?t=65034 and bit, unfortunately. Anyway, the assertion, supposedly backed up by good "science" is that SACD or DVD-A is no better sounding than CD. The author of the thread later challenges anyone to prove that they can hear a difference between a lossy codec (details in the thread) and the original CD. I am curious what your take is. I am of the mind that you don't willingly lose ANY music if you don't have to.
