The first one was duff from the word go; SB kept shutting down. The replacement has lasted about 2 months: a few days ago the SB display started flickering badly, then the unit kept restarting after a minute or so of playing. So I've gone back to the wall wart - display now OK, and the unit plays for hours. To be totally honest, I can't actually discern any audible difference between the wall wart and the (working) linear. So I'm not bothering with a replacement from Farnell. But - I may have just been unlucky with the PSUs I got.
