Actually, I found with HDMI cables that it is actually better to buy cheap mass market HDMI cables that is thinner then buying thick and expensive ones. I actually had lots of trouble with thicker cables as they tend to get yanked off the poorly designed HDMI sockets, potentially even damaging the sockets permenantly.
