hi there, I just had the same issue, but this came a few days ago. one 1/2 years before the transporter was always dead quite, no hum.
I found the problem: the RCA sockets, which are soldered to the mainboard had become loose on the board, in fact the ground-pin soldering was broken. I had some electrican fix the soldering - now no hum any more. But that issue (hum or whatever ground-loop on the rca-sockets) killed my B&Ws diamond tweeters! I run the TP directly into an amp straight into the speakers... damn! hope the B&W guarantee will fix this. so go ahead and try to twist the rca cable at the TP side to the left or right and carefully hear, if the hum stops. turn down volume before you do that.. cheers -- truckfighters | Transporter | REDGUM RGASil OCC Silver Interconnects | REDGUM RGi120ENR AMP | REDGUM LS Cable | B&W Nautilus 802 D | >>> Live musicians at the end of my room! <<< ------------------------------------------------------------------------ truckfighters's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=7852 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=45832 _______________________________________________ audiophiles mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/audiophiles
