Is that really the best you can do - sonos? Is fanboy-ism is the last refuge of audiophools? Is it so hard to admit you are wrong that you have to resort to idiotic taunts? But I guess after making such a fuss, filing a bug report, forcing SD to change their perfectly good firmware, etc., that would make you look pretty stupid, wouldn't it? Not to mention how odd it is that a self-professed accomplished audio engineer should be incapable of making or understanding an analysis as elementary as the one I just posted. It's pretty entertaining to go back and read the thread that (evidently) kicked off all this nonsense: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=17269 Patrick's "evidence" consists mainly of a single poster, one who complains in post #3 "I still find that with preamp at zero, max volume isn't as loud as it used to be (I realise this is the opposite issue to everyone else in here)." Such an issue cannot possibly be due to the change in the volume curve. Not one to let logic interfere, Patrick leaped to the conclusion that it was rounding errors that caused the problem, and off we went. -- opaqueice ------------------------------------------------------------------------ opaqueice's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=4234 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=45736 _______________________________________________ audiophiles mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/audiophiles
