That's the beauty of the music server approach - one is now able to
take along a very large (digital) music collection with just a few
relatively small items: A computer (even a laptop will do), a router,
an external hard drive and a SqueezeBox. Sure beats the heck out of
trying to transport several hundred, or in my case, several thousand,
CDs.

The big problem is that solution doesn't work for vinyl.
