Er, I would not phrase it this way. Sean, knower of all engineering on TP and Squeezeboxen, says you should setup your amp so that you can run 0 dB and not destroy anything. Especially not burn up audiophile speakers. Its OK if the 0 dB setting it too loud for long term listening, but you don't want it to be 130 dB either. Which means using attenuators if the non-volume adjusted signal is too loud. There are many fixed and inexpensive audiophile attenuators listed in the forum archives. This approach allows you to turn down the volume with the remote, say a Controller, for comfort, but still be safe in case something happens that causes it to go WFO. The transporter is a computer. While its more reliable than most computers, I would not try to enumerate all possible ways for a computer to mess up.
