FWIW, I recently picked up a pair of Alesis Prolinear 720 powered studio monitors on Ebay for $145. I already have a pair of the larger 820 DSPs, which are great speakers. A significant improvement over my older Behringer B2031As.
Both pairs are fed from SB3s with a little mixer to turn the -10 dbm unbalanced into +4 dbm balanced and provide level control. Alesis has refurbished models available from their web site for about 1/3 the original MSRP ($699 each for the 820 DSP) Michael -- mgraves Michael Graves 3 x SB3, Berhringer B2031As, 2 x Behringer B2092A subs, Alesis M1-520s, Alesis ProLinear 820 DSPs, M-Audio BX5As email: mgraves <at> mstvp.com blog: http://blog.mgraves.org SIP: [EMAIL PROTECTED] ------------------------------------------------------------------------ mgraves's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=4078 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=44767 _______________________________________________ audiophiles mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/audiophiles
