FWIW, I recently picked up a pair of Alesis Prolinear 720 powered studio
monitors on Ebay for $145. I already have a pair of the larger 820 DSPs,
which are great speakers. A significant improvement over my older
Behringer B2031As.

Both pairs are fed from SB3s with a little mixer to turn the -10 dbm
unbalanced into +4 dbm balanced and provide level control.

Alesis has refurbished models available from their web site for about
1/3 the original MSRP ($699 each for the 820 DSP)
