I waited two days before giving my evaluation: everything worked fine.
But alas, I was too optimistic. For mysterious reasons, yesterday
evening the degaussing rattle started again.

I don't have the illusion that I can help much here, but maybe it helps
when I say that the 'rattling' started while the transporter was not
doing anything. In fact it was off (standby). Very curious. Later, we
watched a movie and after that I listened to some music: the rattle
continued (not as bad as it was, but still at least once in 5
minutes).

This morning (transporter in standby) everything was quiet again (no
rattling).

Wait, evil forces must be at work here, because while I typed the
previous sentence, the TP rattled once! (But once or twice a day is
normal I believe?)

Further: I never touch any knobs on the transporter: I do everything
with my Harmony and/or TP remote and/or the web interface.

Sean, if I can do anything to test, let me know. But so far I don't see
any pattern I can make sense of.

Setup for music: SC 7.1 on Synology 107+.128 running SSODS 3.0 beta 10
=> transporter => unbalanced analogue out to my amplifier (Creek
Destiny).

Setup for video: sound of my Marantz via RCA digital out to transporter
RCA digital in, further the same analog path (no surround is used, just
the stereo signal).

(While I typed the rest of this post, I did not here the rattling
again, so it was only once.)
