Actually, you can deemphasize using external programs/filters like "sox"
(http://sox.sourceforge.net/)

An excerpt from soxeffect manual page:

deemph
Apply a treble attenuation shelving filter to audio  in
audio-CD   format.   The  frequency  response  of  pre-
emphasized recordings  is  rectified.   The  filter  is
defined in the standard document ISO 908.

This effect supports the --plot global option.
