Not sure about the price though, but did you look at second hand ? I would like to suggest Nad M3, Denon PMA-2000AE, Pathos Classic (which Stereophile really really liked with Sonus faber if I havent lost my memory) Bryston B-60 or the Creek Destiny. Something else, what about tubes ? I found this Pathos "copy" lookalike : http://www.hi-end.on9mart.com/cart/Music%20Angel%20-%20MENG%20KT88_bk.html However, this one http://www.hi-end.on9mart.com/cart/Music%20Angel%20-%20XDSE%20KT88_bk.html has people raving, its supposed to be scary good. Top components, really super sound at a price you wont believe. There is now a MK III version of the amp.
