I can think of one off-the-wall way of wiring up XLR to RCA that *might* break a ground loop:
XLR pin 2 -> cable core 1 -> RCA centre pin XLR pin 3 -> cable core 2 -> RCA screen XLR pin 1 -> cable screen -> leave *unconnected* at RCA end As I said, this is a pretty unconventional way of wiring things up, but it may do the trick. One problem I can see is that it shorts one side of the balanced output to ground, so that side is going to be driving only 100 ohms. I don't know what effect that might have. -- cliveb Transporter -> ATC SCM100A ------------------------------------------------------------------------ cliveb's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=348 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=48882 _______________________________________________ audiophiles mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/audiophiles
