Possibly of interest to any Inguz or brutefir users who have room correction filters generated with Denis Sbragion's drc: version 3.0.0 was released today including:
"A new method for the computation of an optimized psychoacoustic target response, based on the spectral envelope of the corrected impulse response.... I think this approach solves one of the long lasting unanswered questions of DRC, i.e. why a flat response doesn't sound flat and usually sound quite bright". Ive generated new filters but it is already too late to test tonight.
