Sorry, that is not upsampling, and you don't upsample to go from three
characterst to 24. That is just widening. And since Sean's inital post
was in ASCII, which is roughy 8 bits, widening it to 24 bits would be
Y00 E00 S00

What you really want in upsampling from 110 baudot to more modern
speeds, say 300 baud would be
YYY EEE SSS

You could, of course, do high-wide, such as
Y00Y00Y00 E00E00E00 S00S00S00

If you really upsampled and got Y00 E00 S00, then you would be forcing
the DAC to zero between valid samples. Not at all what audiophile want
in their $500 Ethernet cable
