Yes, the transporter's linear regulator has a sensor if I remember spec posting a while back.
The specs page: http://slimdevices.com/pi_transporter.html Power Supply: * Continuous AC voltage monitoring * Automatic over-voltage protection I don't know what the specific settings are, but the spike may have been just short enough to trip the transporter, but not enough for other stuff to notice.
