Sean, could you clarify whether there is significant design difference, when using as a transport, between the SB3 and the Transporter? I was wondering why it would still cost more than $1500 if you take out the analog part from the Transporter. Functionally, it is an SB3 transport (less than $300) + 96k processing + interfaces such as clock input. I always thought that the big value added by the Transporter is its audiophile grade DAC. Well I am not in the US so I am careful in purchasing. That's why I am seeking help here: if I spend the dollar for a Transporter, and IF (a big IF) I still think it is not good enough, what are my options? I went through the Modwright Transporter and the SB+ and the info is very helpful.
