Or use dbpoweramp AFTER you have ripped to your entire collection to FLAC and have it convert to mp3 or whatever format for you. Not that either one of the above options is bad or wrong. I actually used to use a perl script I wrote that was very similar to flac2mp3 for just that purpose. However I discovered a better option. Jriver Media Center, a pretty nice media player that supports transcoding to the ipod or other player on the fly.
