Well I have just sold my Naim CD5 & the original plan was to replace it
with a At-tunes SB+ but the lack of 96/24 support is a little bit of a
worry for me, though right at this moment I have no such material – but
I would hate to be in the situation where the industry moves this way
(already seen with Linn and some others) or even to 192k and I am left
with £1k’s worth of machine that doesn’t 100% fill the purpose.

So I started investigating other options and am still seriously
considering the SB+

• SB3 + DAC: While this doesn’t support HD stuff, the SB3 is relatively
cheap to replace when an updated model comes out. SB3 is not very
‘audiophile’ in looks
• Transporter: Seems to tick all the boxes but I really really do not
like the way it looks.
• PC + DAC – really don’t want to use a PC/TV as a GUI esp as I have a
slimserver on my NAS
• SB+ I love this piece of kit but am very paranoid about spending so
much on something that can nearly be considered already obsolete (but
still very usable with my current 400-500 albums!)

Any suggestions or feedback?
