Well I have just sold my Naim CD5 & the original plan was to replace it with a At-tunes SB+ but the lack of 96/24 support is a little bit of a worry for me, though right at this moment I have no such material but I would hate to be in the situation where the industry moves this way (already seen with Linn and some others) or even to 192k and I am left with £1ks worth of machine that doesnt 100% fill the purpose.
So I started investigating other options and am still seriously considering the SB+ SB3 + DAC: While this doesnt support HD stuff, the SB3 is relatively cheap to replace when an updated model comes out. SB3 is not very audiophile in looks Transporter: Seems to tick all the boxes but I really really do not like the way it looks. PC + DAC really dont want to use a PC/TV as a GUI esp as I have a slimserver on my NAS SB+ I love this piece of kit but am very paranoid about spending so much on something that can nearly be considered already obsolete (but still very usable with my current 400-500 albums!)
