Sorry I have not been around for a few days. I was just stating what I have found based on my experience. I am definately not a Linnie, because I have spent huge dollars on Linn gear and am not happy with the results all of the time. You can really get me going about lessons learned with regards to Linn. My SB3/Kinos drives the Linn 350A active speakers -- they do some things really well, and some things not so well. I have the luxury of having a second system based on the SB3/Bryston SP2 and Thiel 3.7's, and I prefer that much less expensive sound any day.
So I am just a normal audiophile trying to figure out what works best for me, and commenting on it when I think it will help others. Not to stray too far off topic, but I am in the Bay Area, and would invite the Transporter team over any time too listen on different systems. I am curious how the design team makes decisions on how things sound, and how they dial in the final design. I picked up my Transporter from the Slimdevices(at the time) office -- the demo system was a receiver and a set of Dali speakers.
