The thing you want to do is limit the speaker cable length.

"Line level" is what runs between most devices. It can go as far as
most houses are long plus the necessary up and down distances. For most
people the only "line level" lines are from the cd player to the
receiver. That is SO wrong from a comprehension standpoint.

What these (slim devices) gizmos do is to replace the long runs of
"LINE LEVEL" cables with wifi.

At the end of that wifi connection you run into a "line level" input
(like a power amp) and then you can control what plays there with your
remote/web interface. Volume too for you morons.

Speaker cables running through your house? You don't have a clue.
