I've certainly done this, ripping from DVD AC3 5.1 or DTS into a flac file
after processing with a utility on here (spdifconvert.py). These flac files
can have CUE sheets embedded and can certainly be added to a SqueezeCenter
playlist.
Obviously won't work via any player connected to the analogue outs, and
requires the digital volume to be up full on the SB, but works well.
