You could also try re-FLACing them using a lower compression value.

The SB3 is very processor limited when it comes to high resolution
audio. For instance, it drops every second sample to get 48KHz as it
can't handle 96KHz natively and there isn't the power to down sample
correctly.

Using the higher FLAC compression levels does increase the amount of
processing power needed to decode the stream. There shouldn't be that
much difference in file size anyway.
