Even if you can't try them at home, it's a very good idea to listen to speakers to get an idea what you like. I would recommend burning a CD of music you know very well, music that it is important to you sounds good. Put a variety on there - some simple acoustic stuff, some complex orchestral music with lots of dynamic range, some distorted guitar rock, etc. Then bring the CD to as many high-end shops as you have patience for and listen to it on different systems. Milan and Turin must both be pretty close, and surely there are a good number of audio shops there... Amps are less important. If I were you I'd replace the speakers and keep your old amp, at least for now. -- opaqueice ------------------------------------------------------------------------ opaqueice's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=4234 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=54656 _______________________________________________ audiophiles mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/audiophiles
