I understand the term audiophile (in its original and non-pejorative sense) to mean the aim of reproducing the original music performance/experience as closely as possible.
An audio enthusiast is someone who enjoys the act of listening to and being affected by music and aims for a sound which is enjoyable at a subjective level.
