I think some members want to discuss these topics with the members of this forum, because we have this "SB bond" and are thus a specific subgroup (outgrown cult) and want to discuss it within this specific group of people. In most other non-SB forums you get a different group of members, dare I say less-IQ on average ;-) However, I disagree that direct insulting personal attacks should be allowed and support the decision to ban members who can't discuss without them. If one would allow that, these forums would quickly degenerate into gang warfare and 99% foul language. On the other hand, I do not like the "forum police" and I mean members acting like that. This should be solely done by SD employees. Offended members should limit their action to snitching, not posting / enforcing policies or threatening other members with bans etc. I dislike that as much as the offending posts themselves and would even ask for the same bans applied to this behavior were I not (almost ?) alone in this opinion. I stopped myself from more posts in the election thread after reading pfarrels post stating he gets it all into his email program.
