The FLAC/MP3 capability would ONLY be if connecting to a PC via USB.
...and no, FLAC is FLAC and is either converted perfectly or not all -
there are no "grades" of conversion.

For a Squeezebox, you would connect the coax or optical digital out of
the SB to the digital input of the peachtree.
