Your conclusions are correct concerning the SB3/Beresford/77CDP
comparison. I like the Quads too, they have always been one of my
favorite speakers : I'm not at all amazed you don't feel the need of
changing them.

To answer your question, yes, the Transporter will certainly bring a
lot more. The Beresford is a decent dac and a bang for the price, but
it's just a low-mid quality dac. There are other dacs (about the price
of the TP) that would do as well as the Transporter, sonically. But,
the Transporter is a one-piece equipment, very well made, so sonic
differences might not be the main question when choosing it. ;)
