I got my Squeezebox v3 yesterday. It's perfect (except it doesn't handle 96khz). I have also heard very short "pops" or "bursts of hard noise for 2/10 of a second" in the right channel only. This has occurred 3 times now, out of 4-5 hours of playback. The buffer is not near empty when it happens and it has been at different positions in the song. I have yet failed to see any connection to specific conditions for when it happens, although I *think* it has only happened while playing FLAC 16bit 44.1kHz.
My Squeezebox is playing via wireless network, connected with optical spdif cable to my Denon AVR-3406. I have never ever had any clicks or pops with my Denon-receiver when playing from my computer (SPDIF Coaxial) or Denon DVD-2920 (optical SPDIF).
