While I have no personal experience with the D-500's, I do run the D-200's with my SB3 and Bel Canto DAC3 with excellent results. They are plenty powerful to drive even my Mirage M-1's to louder levels than I care to listen to. The D-500's are supposed to be an improvement, in addition to increased power, so I can only imagine they sound excellent.
