Just tried 7.3.2 and it does transcode. As to actual bitrates involved is anyones guess - I have no indication as to the bitrate being used. I have a choice of 2 versions to pick from: one version I resampled to 24/48, the other has been left in its' default 24/88.2 . I can hear no difference between the two in playback.
