Hi

I am posting here in audiophiles as there is no dedicated section for
the transporter.

I am wondering after reading the specs for the AKM AK4396. It says that
it supports 192kHz samplerate, but the specs for transporter states that
it "only" supports max 96kHz. Is this limited by firmware or by the
clocks used in the transporter?

I am thinking about buying a transporter(I have found a shop here in
denmark which would lend me it so I can try it at home besides the
SB3), but I would prefer that it supported as there is already
dvd-audio,sacd(approximately) and bd-audio on the way which uses
24bit/192Khz/2ch.

Not that I believe that these physical formats has any future, but when
such hi quality content is available I would prefer to be able to play
it if I buy a transporter(which would be the most expensive component
of my audio gear - not counting my speakers)

Or else I think I will just wait until a "Transporter 2" is presented
and hope that it includes this high samplerate

Regards
Hasse
