I play 24/96 ripped DVD-based audio on my Transporter all the time.
Examples are Neil Young's GH, Neil's Live at Massey hall, Classic
HDAD's like Cannonball Adderley's Somethin' Else, Muddy Waters' Folk
Singer, etc. (The HDAD's are ripped from their DVD-V side, of course,
not the 24/192 MLP-packed DVD-A side). I use DVD Audio Extractor. I
keep my 24/96 files in FLAC (I also have several that I downloaded from
Linn, HDtracks and other hirez downlaod sites). Very nice. My favorite
test track is now Rebecca Pidgeon's 24/96 Spanish Harlem ($2.49 from
HDtracks)from her Raven album. The masterful recording brings out
subtleties that are easily called out when tubes, cables, power cords
or some other change is made.
