Yes, very strange indeed. Unfortunately I dont have another DAC. This is the second Behringer unit I've tried as I thought the first one was faulty. It doesnt appear to be the case as CD player coax Spdif output into it didnt have the popping sound, only when using the SB3 coax and toslink outputs I am using XLR to RCA Unbalanced to amplifer. I read that the BEH ouput is very high (pro audio) could that be overloading my amplifer? If that was the case wouldn't the CD digital out into the BEH overload the amp as well?
