I'm being really dim ! Ok I selected a track, right clicked and chose the Convert (To) option. Ticked the DSP box (the replay gain stuff is also ticked - should it be) and made sure the PHSS is in the Active DSP pane.
Failed straight away with "Error writing to file (Encoder has terminated prematurely with code 1; please re-check parameters) : file://Z:\music\VARIOUS\CLASSICAL\La Guitarra Espanola\Folias Españolas_48.flac" Nowhere was I asked which new sample rate I wanted (I'm trying to downsample a 24/88 file to 24/48). I chose to rename the original filename by adding _48 to it.
