I don't consider myself an audiophile, but figured the best source of
accurate information on this would be the audiophile forum.

I've recently bought a Sony SS2300 HTiB. I've always assumed that using
the SPDIF output on my SB Receiver has been the way to go, but have
recently begun to question that logic. It seems that perhaps the real
thing I should care about is which has a better DAC, my A/V receiver or
the Squeezebox.

Can anyone shed some light on what would be the best setup for me?
Should I use the DAC in the SB Receiver and use a nice set of analog
patch cords to my A/V receiver, or should I use the DAC in the A/V
receiver and use the SPDIF output of the SB Receiver?

thanks in advance.
