I use my Transporter as digital preamp. Its ok if you have no plans to use an external DAC or speakers with digital input (like my subwoofer system). Of some not known reason, feeding digital inputs to digital outputs is not supported. I've asked the question "why?" several times, and the only answer I get is that "it is not supported".... too bad.
