Could someone please help with the above?

I do not think I am imagining the sound difference.  Although come to
think of it I did do someone a favor by swapping a Naim cable with him
with a non-Naim connector.  That guy was paranoid with his non-naim
connector used so I thought "knock yourself out".  

I was never very supersditious about audio voodoos, but this time it
looks like I may have been hit by being a "non-believer"

But before I go out and redo my cable, I would like to try the
firmeware route since this one costs nothing.
