I have recently obtained my first Transporter after running the SB's since the first version. Previously I ran a SB3 coax out to a Musical Fidelity DAC-21 and have been VERY pleased with the sound for years. Although I will eventually do some of my own testing of sound/quality differences, I was wondering if anyone has any experience, comments, recommendations etc, with regards to running the Transporter through it's on-board DAC, and/or with the MF Trivista DAC-21? Any personal thoughts/experiences on which does, or may sound better, or maybe there are some very clear technical reasons why one might be preferable over the other. Just looking for any experiences with this combo, or possible some generic comments on the use of an y high-end outboard DAC vs the internal Transporter DAC.
