Kardtoon, it has not been solved. My solution was to re-rip my CDs into FLAC and delete them from iTunes and then convert what was left of my iTunes library into FLAC - see http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=55209. My advice is to avoid iTunes like the plague.
