nah - it's fine because a native HDCD is a 16-bit PCM stream so the last 8 bits are ignored... and a DTS CD is 24/48 or 24/96 anyway... Volume has to be set to MAX for DTS passthrough and HDCD decode anyway - so the streams are "unaltered" from the decoding DAC's perspective. -- Phil Leigh You want to see the signal path BEFORE it gets onto a CD/vinyl...it ain't what you'd call minimal...
