Anyone have any suggestions? I just bought a SB3 used with a redwine modded ElPak WM075-1950 powersupply.
I have this going into an old JVC stereo receiver that is on its way out. Can someone suggest a good cheap start of a really nice setup? I want this for my bedroom and going to sleep. The speakers I have are huge and in my face taking up both bedstands, I'd rather get some speaker stands and put them at the end of my bed, i figure that woudl sound better as well get out of my way. I'm looking for suggestions on the best "sweetspot" in a bed (i'm talking soundwise.. :) I'm also looking for suggestions for a DAC, stereo receiver and or amplifier? and new speakers. are bigger speakers "better"? The SB3 is streaming from a brand new netgear router that is streaming 24bit flacs flawlessly across the house, the machine is a piece of crap pc running windows7 rc1.. i would also like some advice on a cheap easy NAS instead of a 130watt computer running all the time.. i checked out the vortexbox but i'm not into the whole linux filesystem and stuff (fedora). i'm all for a nas but i cant figure out which one is the best/cheapest for running squeezecenter as well as the most out of my HD's).
